Mayeul Akpovi is a motion time-lapse photographer and short film creator from Benin and currently living in Besançon, France. In a recent series entitled Paris in Motion, Akpovi took over 6,500 photos to create two incredible timelapse, stopmotion films (shown below).

Pierre Deligne wins the 2013 Abel Prize
The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters has decided to award the Abel Prize for 2013 to Pierre Deligne Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, New Jersey, USA “for seminal contributions to algebraic geometry and for their transformative impacton number theory, representation theory, and related fields”. Geometric objects such as lines, circles and spheres can bedescribed by simple algebraic equations.
Hell As Pavillion at Palais de Tokyo: Hell as discussion
“Hell As Pavilion” is an exhibition that examines the question of “being contemporary” within a culture in crisis, hosted by The Palais de Tokyo contemporary art centre in Paris, curated by Nadja Argyropoulou, and realized, with the collaboration of architect Yorgos Tzirtzilakis (February 25 and April 4, 2013).
The next Biennale
The 55th International Art Exhibition titled Il Palazzo Enciclopedico (The Encyclopedic Palace), curated by Massimiliano Gioni and organized by la Biennale di Venezia chaired by Paolo Baratta, is opening to the public from Saturday 1st June to Sunday 24th November 2013 at the Giardini and at the Arsenale.The preview will be held on 29th, 30th and 31st May. The award ceremony and the inauguration will take place on Saturday 1st June.
The older you get, the lonelier you become
Leonard Cohen is back on Hydra. The Canadian poet/songwriter returned to his home on the island after almost a decade. His presence is familiar to the islanders. Everyone has a story to tell about Cohen from back in the 60s. Some still remember his groups of friends or even him strumming his guitar at home and writing some of the songs that later would become so famous.
